My name is Ray Perryman and I am the owner/operator of Hawkeye Property Inspections. In 1997 I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Polytechnic State University in Civil Engineering Technology. I have over twelve years combined experience in civil engineering, construction materials testing and geotechnical engineering. As a civil design engineer I was responsible for the design and permitting of numerous commercial/industrial projects in the metro Atlanta area. My time as a geotechnical engineer consisted primarily of the inspection of foundations, footings, retaining walls, earthwork, concrete and numerous other aspects of large scale projects. Based on this experience, my love for houses and my desire to provide a service that will help others I decided to launch Hawkeye Property Inspections in 2007.
To prepare for my transition into the home inspection profession I completed training with The Edifice Group here in Atlanta which is one of the top training programs in the area. I am certified by the International Code Council as a Residential Building Inspector. This means that I have passed all four examinations required for this certification which are Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Building. I have also received actual field training having performed numerous inspections with a highly qualified local inspector. I am a member of American Society of Home Inspectors as well as the International Code Council.

As a member of ASHI, I will continue to meet and exceed their continuing education requirements. I will always seek the training and education that I feel is necessary to provide the best possible service to the client.
My goal in providing a home inspection is not just to point out concerns in a home, but also to educate homeowners about the home's systems and proper maintenance. I will always strive to provide the best service possible and to be there at any time to answer questions or address concerns.
I find it very rewarding to work with homeowners and prospective homeowners to help them make educated and informed decisions. It would be my privilege to work for you. I hope that you will offer me the chance to help you with what will likely be the biggest financial and emotional decision that you will ever make.
